A 48-year-old man was charged Wednesday with allegedly burglarizing six residences in Long Beach between August and last month.

David Silver, whose hometown was not immediately available, is charged with six counts of first-degree residential burglary, according to Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón.

Silver is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in the Long Beach Courthouse.

“For nearly a year, the Long Beach community has been shaken by these residential burglaries,” Gascón said in a statement. “No one should have to endure the violation and fear that comes with having their home invaded. Our office is working to ensure justice is served for those who have been victimized.”

If convicted as charged, Silver would face a sentence of up to life in state prison, prosecutors noted.
